Day One: Part II

After a day hiking in the woods, and enjoying a rest back home afterwards, we ended our day by joining several thousand others on Battlefield Park, for the fireworks display. To end the festivities, Parcs Canada always put on a great show, come rain or shine, and yes, they’ve done the show in the pouring rain. We had just over 15 minutes of loud noises, and lots of ‘ooohs’ and ‘aaahs’.

Here’s a little teaser for you to enjoy:

  1. Oh, my goodness, what lovely fireworks, Alex! Lucky you to have had the chance to see them. And good on you both to take the time away to do so. Sometimes it’s important to ‘step back’ and take a break.

They were great fun, Margot. And yes, we are lucky. We get fireworks on June 24, July 1 and July 3, tomorrow, for Québec’s birthday. Then the US delegation here kindly light up the skies on July 4 too! ☺️

It was the cream to go with our strawberries, Vera! Geart fun was had by everyone.

  2. What I love about fireworks is that you don’t have to worry about tall people in front of you – everyone can see!

I know it’s great, and, for the most part, everyone brings chairs or blankets. 😊
