Snippet

Past guilt. Shame. Humiliation. Self-doubt, all wear away at the once solid foundations. A small piece here, a small piece there, it all begins to crumble. Will the weight become too much to bare?

The paint peels, the veneer cracks and just beneath the surface of appearances, horrors crawl.

Thank you, Margot. That’s exactly what I was trying to convey. That feeling of being on a knife edge, and what it might take to push someone over.

You’ve nailed the scene right before the “snap” of the mind. Love it!

Thanks, Kenny. As writers, I think this is as close as we can get to knowing or understanding what it’s like reaching that point of breaking.
